The English language is another matter. It has problems.
Definitions of words within the English language are not exacting. In the dictionary : Looking up a word and then looking up words within the definition offered , repeatedly, we can come full circle to where one of the words in the definition is defined by our original word in the first place. I've heard this is a game -who can keep looking up words in the definition of a word, follow to the next one and get back to the first word fastest.
Definitions are really a thesaurus. Similar words to put the person in the general area of what is meant.
Also English words have double meaning a lot of the time - some of them opposite!
Also words are too broad in their scope to be taken too seriously. An apple - is still an "apple" if its rotting under a tree.
Kindly consider the word "tasty" : definitions found:
Having a pleasant or satisfying flavour; delicious
Having a marked and appetizing flavour
a tasty meal.
